JOB SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Protect the Wood River Media brand, create innovative on-air programs and propel the success of the stations in the market
  • Protect the FCC license of the station
  • Manage day to day operations, production, and imaging of the station
  • Work within Operations budget
  • Ensure that the station’s programming serves the needs and interests of the targeted audience
  • Supervise the use of any syndicated and/or outside service
  • Evaluate and analyze demographic and market research and appropriately implement research findings
  • Assist in updating all online properties, including web and social networking sites
  • Stay current with all relevant industry practices and information
  • Cultivate community relations to benefit Wood River Media as a whole
  • Work in compliance with all Company policies and procedures
  • Represent Wood River Media in the highest regard within the community and business environment
  • Work in compliance with all company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience Required

  • A minimum of 2 years of prior announcing and production experience for a radio station

Skills & Abilities Required

  • Excellent on-air presence and voice quality
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proven management and leadership qualities
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings, holidays, and/or weekends
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and able to multitask
  • Proven networking abilities

Education Required

  • High School Diploma Preferred

 

Preferred, But Not Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting or Communications, or equivalent experience
  • MusicMaster and Simion experience
